When leaving a tavern after a night out with friends many years ago, a group of thugs followed us out of the bar and attacked us. They then attempted to follow me home to attack my family. Thanks to the State Police, their attempt was quickly averted. On another occasion while traveling through the south, I stopped at the Shannon Mall in Union City, GA. An active shooting suddenly took place in the store we were in and my friend and I took cover behind a point-of-sale counter. We prayed the gunman wouldn't find us. Luckily for me and my family, I survived both incidents but watching the news reveals that others who have had similar experiences, weren't so lucky. It didn't take me long to realize that we each have to take responsibility for our own safety, and my support for the right to bear arms was born. - Bill
We have a permit to carry a firearm but bought our first Byrna launcher in 2019 as an alternative to carrying our S&W .380 auto.
